Today is my Sweet 16th Birthday!!! :D It's crazy to think that I am already 16. Today, I have received tons of "Happy Birthdays" via Facebook and my phone. Thanks again to all the people who wished me a happy birthday! Today, I also decided to make my first YouTube channel. It's going to be filled with random videos about all the weird things that happen in my life. Happy 4th of July! :D Today is an awesome day because it means that a long time ago, colonials got tired of being "posh" and listening to a fat guy sitting on a fat couch (er... throne :) across the ocean who had no real reason to be in their business other than the fact he wanted to take their money.
That being said, I still love Twinings tea, imported straight from London :D (even though I kind of bought my lifetime supply of it from Disney World's Ecot England stand... it was imported straight from London to Disney World).
Anyhoo.... my favorite part of this time of year is actually my birthday (which is in two days), but I also love the fireworks. I mean, who doesn't love fireworks?
Happy late Easter! I had a great Easter weekend. It started last Friday, Good Friday, when I had no school and went shopping with my mom at Tuttle mall. It was there that I got to choose my Easter gift, a new book :-) On Saturday, I went down to my family's farm in Southern Ohio. They had severe flash floods, so everything was kind of washed out. I still got to see a lot of my family members who I don't get to see very often, so it was worth it! I also drove us everywhere while we were down there. I ended up having to drive through some minor flooding on some roads (it was that or be trapped for who knows how long before the water resided- the rain isn't supposed to let up for another week). On Easter Sunday, I went to church like I do every Sunday, and we had a special Easter service. After church, my family got together and we all had a large Easter dinner- yum!
Happy Valentine's Day! XD Anyhoo, as a high school student, I have seen my fair share of PDA and other not-so mentionable things in the halls that I would to have preferred avoiding. But today there was quite a sight in the halls: Valentine's Day gifts galore. Helium filled balloons proclaiming "I Love You" and "Happy Valentine's Day" bobbed in the air as students walked down the halls. Many people carried flowers, most commonly roses, around in bright, beautiful bouquets. Chocolates were constantly being pulled out of those classically shaped heart boxes, and if as many real dogs were adopted as stuff dogs were given, there would be many empty pounds. Jewelry also seemed to be a somewhat common gift.
My friend Desiree got a beautiful heart shaped necklace and a white rose from her boyfriend. Her necklace is of two silver snakes, intertwining to form a heart. That's right up Desiree's alley. It was adorable! Desiree, Breanna, SaBrina and I also got our friend Morgan a Valentine's Day gift. We got her a can of Arizona Watermellon juice, which she loves. It's nothing big, but we all signed the can and made her a card and wrote "We love you" in German, French, Russian, Romanian, Irish, Swedish, and we wrote "Will you be our Valentine?" In Spanish. We wrote in captions for the Spanish part, and just told her what the rest of it meant. She really liked it, which was cool :-)

Happy New Year's! I hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. I spent both days painting my room blue and green :) (it used to be pink and orange). I love the way it looks now. It's mellow, and blue and green are my favorite colors! :-) I also watched the ball drop on Dick Clark's New Year's Eve Party at Times Square. It was on TV, and watching it is a tradition in my family. My family also popped balloons, another tradition.
This year is going to be amazing. This Thursday I am legally old enough for my temps (15 1/2) and I'm extremely excited. July 6th, I'll be 16 (Sweet 16!) and I'll have several other milestones this year.
Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a great holiday. I know I did. I got to spend the day with family, open gifts, and eat till I was full! :-) My dad, brother and I surprised my mom with an automatic car start (that's theft resistant of course :) and I got many awesome things, like Photoshop software for my laptop (I'm a nerd), a new comforter so that I can redo my room in blue and green (Yay!), and stuff to make homemade DVDs (which I enjoy doing in my freetime- hey, high school only happens once).
Here are some funny Jeff Dunham holiday clips from YouTube. Fair warning: Jeff Dunham is very politically uncorrect. He's not afraid to offend anyone. I tried to filter out the more offensive ones, but these can still be found offensive. For the E-Card, it's about people who celebrate Christmas and Athiests. It's not making fun of Athiests or anything, but it does infer that being Athiest means you don't celebrate the holidays. The second one, the Jingle Bombs song, could be seen as offensive to Arabs/Muslims. It stars Achmed, a dead suicide bomber, who is a skeleton puppet. If you don't get offended over silly stuff, these are very funny. But I still felt the need to put the warning out there, just so that no one can't point a finger at me and go "Brandi, where is your political correctness???" ;) Enjoy! XD

Anyways, Merry Christmas (again) Everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving! Today is the day to pig out, stuff your face, and spend time with family. (Or, if your family has issues, it's a day to be thankful that you don't have to spend the rest of the year with them :) So, I'm randomly going to put a recipe for no-bake cookies on here. They're chocolate no-bakes, the way Grandma makes them :)
Mix butter, sugar, cocoa, and milk in a medium sized pot. Blend well. Once your mixture is well blended, place the pot on the stove and wait for the mixture to boil. Once the mixture begins to boil, let it boil hard for 2 minutes. While the mixture is boiling, make sure to stir it. Watch for it to thicken.
Once the two minutes are up, quickly add the vanilla, peanut butter, and oats. It is best to measure these items out before it is time to add them, because you need to be quick. If you take your time, the mixture will harden, and it will be no good. Once you have added the vanilla, peanut butter, and oats stir them in, blending well. Begin dropping tablespoon sized portions onto wax paper (again, you should set this out before you are finished with the cookies). Once all of the cookies have been placed on the wax paper, let them set until they harden. Once they have hardened, you can enjoy! (Makes approximately 25, depending on how big or small you choose to make your cookies...they can be larger or smaller than a tablespoon if you would like)
