This is the publisher's description of Darkest Mercy:
The Summer King is missing; the Dark Court is bleeding; and a stranger walks the streets of Huntsdale, his presence signifying the deaths of powerful fey.
Aislinn tends to the Summer Court, searching for her absent king and yearning for Seth. Torn between his new queen and his old love, Keenan works from afar to strengthen his court against the coming war. Donia longs for fiery passion even as she coolly readies the Winter Court for battle. And Seth, sworn brother of the Dark King and heir to the High Queen, is about to make a mistake that could cost his life.
Love, despair, and betrayal ignite the Faery Courts, and in the final conflict, some will win . . . and some will lose everything.
The thrilling conclusion to Melissa Marr's New York Times bestselling Wicked Lovely series will leave readers breathless.
Back of the Book Blurb:
Aislinn took a steady breath. "I need to find out where Keenan is. If he's not home, I'm going into war without him...which is not ideal. Someone knows where he is."
"I do not, my queen. I give my word that I will find out, though." Tavish's restrained facade slipped, and she saw the faery-cruel expression as he asked, "Are there limits to the methods?"
At that, she faltered. "Don't ask me to be a monster."
Affectionately, he reached out as squeezed her forearm. "You are a faery regent, Aislinn, and we are fast approaching war. Monstrosity will be called for. How far will you go to protect your court?"
My Review:
I absolutely loved this novel. Without giving spoilers to the other novels, I must say that I thought the novel brought together the loose ends of the other stories in a conclusion that was as satisfying as it was unexpected. I felt that Melissa Marr kept the story fresh and I loved how all characters from previous novels seemed to make an appearence. There isn't a whole lot I can say about this novel without spoiling the others, so I would sugest reading them in order. I've posted about the first two books in the past.
